Responsibility
You, the person or firm whose name is on the permit, are responsible for reading and
complying with the permit. The permit is to be available for review by enforcement
authorities on site. Removal of all signage at the completion of your "permitted" activities
is required.

No Parking Signs
Each city requires that it's own particular style and type construction sign be utilized.
Severe weather conditions may damage, or render useless, the posted signs after
installation. The Permit Guy is not responsible for the maintenance or replacement of
signs after they have been installed.
Scheduling
When setting your "permit" date, build in a reasonable amount of lead time for The
Permit Guy and the cognizant city to accept and process the permit application. Keep in
mind the following:
Boston requires that signs be posted a minimum of 48 hours in advance of the permit
date.
Brookline requires that signs be posted a minimum of 48 hours in advance of the
permit date.
Cambridge requires that the permit application be submitted "six (6) business days
prior to the permit date".
Somerville requires that the permit application be submitted "six (6) business days
prior to the permit date".
Invoice
Invoices are transmitted weekly. They are "payable in full upon receipt". A monthly
interest charge of 1.5% is applied to all unpaid balances after 30 days. "New" or
"additional" permit requests will only be processed when all amounts are paid in full.
Conditions
Approval
The Permit Guy is not responsible for the denial of a permit application by the city.
Snow
Be flexible with your "permit dates" during the winter. When it snows, the cities have no
place to put it. The snow is merely plowed to the side of the street. This condition makes
a narrow street hazardous. In the past, some parking permits have been refused citing
public safety because of the inability of fire fighting equipment to get through the "permitted
area."
Limitations
The city may restrict the hours and/or type of vehicle operation.
